MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS . . .

An adventure in Huna from Pete Dalton at urbanhuna.org

I’m intrigued…What’s the symbol you use throughout your site?

I’m glad you asked! It’s a Vegvísir – an Icelandic ‘sign post’ or ‘wayfinder’, an Icelandic magical stave intended to help the bearer find their way through rough weather. The symbol is mentioned in the Huld Manuscript, a page of which declares that “if this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known”.

The vegvísir is a very powerful symbol to me of the role I want to take in our world – as a wayfinder, discovering the way through the difficult times in which we find ourselves, and pointing the wayforward to an answer.

I wear a silver vegvísir pendant crafted by Baldur Jewelry: find out more HERE
