Back in the Dojo

0 0
Read Time:3 Minute, 3 Second

A while back I wrote a post about getting back into my karate practice – how after many years away, it seemed like the right time to get back into a karate-gi, join a karate club, and actually start practicing again. That journey continues, much to my amazement.

And now it’s time to get back into a different dojo – back into a place where I can create, write, share some of my thoughts. It’s not been an easy time for me, the last few years, and sometimes my disorganised and chaotic life feels like this:

I do not have ‘ducks’. I do not have ‘a row’. I have squirrels. And they’re at a rave.

But maybe, just maybe, I can get my life sufficiently in order to be able to create something. And maybe, if you’re reading this, maybe a long dormant dream can awaken for you, too. Perhaps this post is as much for you as it is for me…

A while ago a very wise woman said to me:

“I foresee a surge of people who need to be given hope and be uplifted and search for possibility from the seeming chaos..the sparks of potential that haven’t come to light yet, but are already forming. When you stand in that sliver of space that is completely and utterly you, then you are awesome, magnificent, wonderful.. and when you pull from the scattered pieces those that depict what is true for you, tune into the melodies of your heart and tug on the fibres of your being..they will reform into something that is destined for you to be doing, experiencing and giving to the world – your sliver of space will emerge as you do.

You need to make a commitment, and as you do, life will give you some answers.”

I’ve held on to that quote for years now, and it feels as alive now as it did when she first wrote to me. And perhaps, now, it’s time to make a commitment, and let life give me some answers.

We want, always, to have the answers before we make the leap, before we jump into the unknown, before we start on something new. But life doesn’t work like that. We have to make the leap, take the risk, step through the door before we know how it’s going to work out.

So here’s a commitment.

I commit to writing at least one blog post here every week. Thoughtful, I hope, maybe even insightful. Or maybe not. I may not have answers, but I sure do have questions. I’m still on a journey. I’m still just a student on the path of life, and that’s why this blog is called ‘Thoughts On The Way’.  And I commit to restarting my journey exploring the Tao Te Ching and posting my thoughts on each chapter once a week too.

How’s that for a plan?

Now in the interests of being open and honest, I’m not writing this for you. I’m writing this for me. For me to explore my path. For me to understand what I feel, what I know, what I believe. For me to try in all humility to answer the questions that I face. But maybe you have those questions too. Maybe they will find a resonance in your being, some echo in your own soul. If they do, then that’s wonderful. If they don’t, well, just pass on by. It’s OK.

So here I am, starting again. Let’s see what happens.

Finding my Way

Read Time:6 Minute, 23 Second

good idea - ogg

I’ve been a bit absent from sharing deeper thought over the last few months – much has happened and I have been struggling to make sense of it, and to work out where I go next. Slowly things become clearer on my journey into the future.. I realise that in many ways I have been hiding out, undecided as to what I want to do, yet conscious that there is a lot that I have wanted to say – and yet unsure as to whether any of that held real value to anyone, whether it was worth sharing. I have found myself of one mind with Rumi when he said “Everyone has been called for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put into their heart“, and yet I was afraid that I had missed something important – or that I was in some way disqualified.

It has been an uncomfortable and uncertain time for me in many many ways, some of which I have written about before – but I find myself in the same situation as Anaïs Nin: “Then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to blossom.”

I have wanted for a while to give some focus to my blogging and writing, to share what I believe – to go deeper into my own spiritual and life journey and unlock some of the secrets of the keys to Life.. to be an agent for Peace, to tread a path of Freedom, of Love, and of Kindness, to be in some way a wayfinder. I don’t claim to have any answers, just reflections on what I feel to be true, and the reason I share them is because those messages are actually intended first for me. And if others find them helpful, then that’s great.

And so much of what I write is intended for me, as I try and make sense of what I believe. I have moved some way from the simplistic Judeo-Christian beliefs of my youth as I find myself embracing New Thought, Buddhism, Taoism and more in my own personal world view.. and so much of what I write is bringing together what I feel. I hope I share it with humility, with wisdom, and with kindness.

As I say on my new blog “I cannot tell you the shape of your faith. I can only tell you the shape of mine, and help you catch the echoes in your own soul.”

I feel very much like Jack Kerouac when he said ” I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion” – in many ways I am simply trying for myself to make sense of what I see – surrounded by my own confusions and conflicts, fears, doubts and weaknesses. This may yet be the most personal part of my journey so far, but as I was out walking today, asking where I could learn more, and where I could find someone to teach me, a still small voice inside asked “and at what point in your life are you going to start to share what you have already learned?” I hope that in some way I shall be a wayfinder – to seek to discover a path that rings true out of all that I find faces us.

For me, it’s time to write and blog again, without any expectation of what this might become, but merely as a vehicle for me to share what’s on my heart: so here’s what’s happening to my on line stuff, as far as I know: and it all starts with a question . . .

Who are you?

I’m conscious that my Facebook friends fall into several groups – those who are part of the dance world, those who have been part of my coaching and personal development journey, those I have worked with or studied with, and those I have encountered as we have shared moments of our own personal spiritual quests. And then there are friends and family and other folk that have gathered round me as the great tumbleweed spins through life. Some of my friends pop up all over the place, disappearing from one part of my life only to resurface, unexpectedly, elsewhere…

Because of the wide range of people on my pages, I’ve often found myself being limited as to what I post on my wall – in trying to be all things to all men and avoid controversy and criticism, I have found myself not expressing myself as clearly, as lucidly or as radically as I want to.

So I’m not going to be publishing everything everywhere – but I know that many of you will want to stay in touch with what I am writing.

Here’s what I am hoping will happen…

My main web page at timhodgson.org will remain as the main ‘go to’ place for my work, including my books and more. Expect to see that grow in coming months.

Remember…You are Amazing will continue to be a place for me to post little reminders of just how incredible, gifted, talented and wonderful each one of us is. I’ll probably carry on posting those on my personal Facebook page as well as on the Facebook page Just to Remind You – You’re Amazing. Because I can. Although I might not.

Importantly, I’m going to be stepping up a gear on my other blogs:

Shape of my Soul will be a very personal blog exploring my own personal take on spirituality and on faith. I am still (and always will be) on a journey to discover what I believe and understand – a draughty journey without the traditional pillars of faith and belief that continues to take me into new territory and causes me to explore new world views and assemble my own statement of faith.

In particular I plan on starting a series specifically exploring my adventures in studying the Tao Te Ching, which has come to life for me in a very real way of late.

I will try and bring that together with more stuff on my main “Tim Hodgson” blog – thoughts and observations on how the world works, and how we can explore our own personal power and step into a new freedom to truly live our lives.

I will be posting updates to my Tim Hodgson – Exploring the Power of You Facebook page so take a trip over there and ‘Like’ that page if you want to stay up to date on Facebook. Those posts are very unlikely to make it onto my personal Facebook page. And I will be wrapping it all up into one little package for newsletter subscribers at timhodgson.org.

That should help me be clearer about who I am writing for, and allow me to go deeper where it matters. These are exciting times, and I’m glad to be getting back into sharing what’s on my heart again. There’s a lot of amazing stuff starting to bubble up as the future becomes clearer and my purpose and mission starts to unfold.

So, Facebook friends.. if you’re happy just to stay friends on Facebook… that’s great. No action needed.

If you want to make sure you get some reminders and inspiration that will make you think.. then hop over to Just to Remind You – You’re Amazing and like the page there.

And if you want to engage with me on some of the other deeper stuff then take a trip to Tim Hodgson – Exploring the Power of You and like that page.

Looking forward to chatting some more . . .

Welcome to The Power of You

Read Time:6 Minute, 0 Second

Say YesSo here it is, at last – the programme that I’ve been working on since I returned from my travels. I’ve taken a lot of time out to understand what I wanted to do – what I wanted to create, what was longing to be created through me. That thought process hasn’t always been easy, as I have faced my own personal demons, my own doubts and fears, insecurities and hangups. I’ve been forced to confront my weaknesses – and also to confront and accept my own gifts and talents. And I’ve been continually reminded by those who know me best to step out of the shadows and stop hiding.

So that’s led me to now – to this programme that I have called ‘The Power of You‘. I am really excited (and not a little bit nervous) to find out where it will take me – and where it will take those who dare to share the journey with me. I know that sometimes I am going to be simply walking by faith and trusting that I am going in the right direction. But I hope that by sharing some of my understandings, my convictions and my insights, the stuff that I have learned on my own personal journey, that you will be encouraged to understand just how amazing you are, and just what’s possible. I don’t have all the answers.. but I know that I have some. It feels right to me, now, to just start. To unpack some of the things I have learned, and to see where that leads. A lot of people are really going to love it. Some people are going to hate it. And that’s OK. I don’t need to convince anyone. I just need to share what I’ve come to understand, and let it find the people it can help. For those of you who are interested in learning a bit more of my journey, I’ve put some of my experiences into a very personal blog post HERE.

I know that some folk won’t feel any particular affinity with this programme – and that’s fine by me. Really. Each of us has our own path to walk, our own discoveries to make. Perhaps you’ll return to this some time in the future – or perhaps you will explore your own truth, make your own journey of discovery into what’s real for you. That’s cool. Very cool.

Others are going to want to know what I’m saying. You’re going to want to hear what I’ve discovered. You want to learn and grow, to understand more about who you are and what you can bring to the world. You want to discover your own gifts and be able to step into being amazing, wonderful, fabulous. You want to be able to make a difference – to make this world a better place.

If that’s you, then I would really like you to be part of this. It’s early days yet, but I do want to invite you to come along for the journey of exploration into what’s possible.

You can find out more – lots more – at my web site www.timothyhodgson.com.

So, what do I see coming? Well, here goes

x-defaultFirst of all, I’m creating my flagship programme ‘Pathway to Power’. This is a free weekly programme that will explore your own personal power and that you’re truly capable of. We’re going to be diving into the worlds of NLP, metaphysics, spiritual thought, practical advice and more to discover just what we’re capable of. We’re going to be exploring the gifts that we bring and how we can use them to change our world. You’ll also receive my new series ‘Walking with Heroes’, exploring the mythic stories that shape our lives – learning from myth, story and legend as well as movies and TV to reveal some of the truths about who we are and the heroes inside. Along with that I’ll be extending ‘Just to Remind You – You Are Amazing’ as a ‘Thought for the Week’.. (you may have already discovered that on Facebook HERE) and then wrapping all of that into a weekly programme along with news and insights from some of the other incredible teachers that I have come to love and value – some famous, some of whom are my closest friends – but all of them have something special and unique to contribute.

You can sign up for ‘Pathway to Power’ HERE.

JoinNow

coming-soonSo, what else? I’ve just withdrawn my two e-courses on Confidence and Prosperity. I’m going to be building these into newer and bigger e-products, particularly targetted at the Kindle, making them available to a wider audience. I’ve also withdrawn my older hypnosis products and my guide to setting up a coaching business in order to focus more clearly on ‘The Power of You’ – although my book ‘Free Your Mind – Release Your Dreams’ is still available HERE.

I’m working on some incredibly powerful meditation programmes that will help you on your journey of inner discovery, help you connect with your inner being, and, naturally, help you relax and get centred. Oh, and a whole lot more besides!

IMGP1589The ‘Power of You’ banner actually allows me to do a lot. So on one hand I am going to be looking to develop a course that will help you master your life with NLP – with some insights from my mastery of martial arts that leaves you with all the tools you need to build the life you want – without all the extras that a full NLP certification demands – and with a few surprises and unique tools that are very different from traditional NLP models. I’ll probably also be looking at some programmes for speakers, presenters and teachers – empowering people who suddenly find themselves in the public eye.

I’ll also be looking way beyond ‘The Secret’ and ‘The Law of Attraction’ to create a programme that will take you deep into the metaphysical laws that this universe is created on – laws that are as certain as gravity and allow you to create the life you truly want – that will take you way beyond prosperity and lead you into abundance, wealth, success and fulfilment in a whole new way.

I’m also excited about a new audio product that I’m developing that fuses story and meditation, guided visualisation and self discovery, time in the silence with new tools to unlock your life and your inner intuitive powers.

and moreWorkshops. e-books. Classes. Seminars. Products. Mentor programmes. It seems as if I have so many ideas I don’t know quite where to start. but right now feels like the right place to begin, and see where it all leads me. For me, it’s a very exciting time, and a very scary time. yet at least, for the first time for many, many years the way ahead seems clear.

And to all of you who have supported me through some of these painful times of deep introspection – friends, family, students, dancers, coaches – all those who have dared to believe in me and encouraged me to keep going – from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. You will probably never know how much your love and encouragement has meant to me. I’m back.

The mid point in eternity

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 52 Second

(adapted from ‘Celebrate Yourself!’ by Eric Butterworth.)

4233260707_a625f823c9_bHAPPY NEW YEAR!

It’s a lovely sentiment, but the new year will bring little that is different for you unless you are different. Each day of the year the sun will rise and life will go on, with things unfolding as you expect them to and as you create them through your levels of consciousness.

And yet, this year is a very special year, for it is the midpoint in eternity. You can start here and go back into the dim past, or forward into the limitless future. You can go forward into the future to achieve anything you can conceive and believe. It is wise to take a brief look into the past year – not in regret, or resistant to change, but with the commitment to form right thoughts about every experience. See them rightly and find beautiful release and freedom.

Don’t go ‘back to work’, ‘back to school’, ‘back to normal’. Never go back to anything. Go forward to the new adventures that each day holds for you. Let the new year be a time of reaching forward with eagerness and anticipation.

Resolve this coming year to look forward with faith and expectancy. Determine that, in the days and months ahead, that you will live each day as if it were the only day of eternity. Go forward into each day in faith that you are at the midpoint of eternity, and at the centre of life, the universe, and of All That Is.

Look within to that in you that is the midpoint of eternity. Vaya con Dios! Go with God! It is the most important year of your life, the mid point between all that you have been and all that you can and will become. Happy awakening to your potential. Happy new release of your imprisoned splendour. Happy new YOU!

(Note from Tim: I came across this today, and felt it summed up how I felt about New Year so well that I had to share it. Eric Butterworth was a minister for Unity Church, and many of his writings have shaped my thought on my own personal spiritual journey)

Phoenix Rising

0 0
Read Time:8 Minute, 39 Second

phoenixrisingI really connected with this wonderful picture of a phoenix, rising from the ashes, as I consider the journey that I’ve been on – the moments of defeat that I have faced, the heartbreak and the moments when I have lost touch with myself, with my purpose, and even with a sense of who I truly am. I have often had to remind myself that the “dream is real”, as Morpheus had to remind Neo in ‘The Matrix’.

I’ve been on an incredible journey through my life.. sometimes painful, sometimes exhilarating, sometimes happy, sometimes sad. There have been moments when I have been bursting with joy, feeling as if nothing can stop me… and there have been moments when I have been crushed by deepest depression and disappointment, unsure if it is worthwhile going on. There have been times when I have been totally convinced of why I am on this planet – certain of what I am here to do, of what I want to bring to others… and there have been times when I was completely convinced that my life was meaningless, and that I had nothing of value to say.

000-Power_thumb.jpgI’ve been on a deep, deep journey ever since my teenage years – a journey into trying to work out how the world works, into what moves people and guides them, into the hidden truths of science and faith. I’ve looked deep into spirituality from so many teachers and faiths, from traditional Buddhism and Christianity through to New Age faiths and energy healing. My own path was originally based in a western Christian tradition, but I have learned how to let go of much of the dogma and misdirection around that Judaeo-Christian belief system and to look deeper for the real truths that it contained. And I have always been fascinated by how things work – from early years taking everything apart that moved (much to my mother’s dismay), through university studies of nuclear and quantum physics, to a continual fascination with the deeper truths of the Universe, looking both to the wide open spaces of stars and galaxies down to the interplay of quarks, electrons, neutrinos and bosons at the sub-atomic level. And perhaps I should admit to an expectation of human evolution – to a belief that human beings have access to powers beyond belief, if only we could find out how to unlock them.

And so the stage was set for me to set out on the journey of my life.

One of the side effects of a incredibly painful marriage that ended, ultimately, in divorce, was a complete loss of faith. I stopped believing in God, in a Higher Power, so convinced was I that I had been abandoned and left in deep sadness. I was wrong. Very wrong. And slowly, I began to reawaken an interest in deeper things.. yet always knowing that the truth would lie beyond the fundamentalism of my youth.

One thing I did hold onto was the truth that people are amazing, wonderful, complex, gorgeous, powerful creatures – and so when I took my chance for redundancy from my highly paid high level role in global IT, it was natural for me to explore how I could help others – at first as a life coach and then adding the skills of an NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer. And yet nothing seemed to work out. I Some people asked why I didn’t simply teach what I know – yet I saw so many weaknesses in the world of NLP and of life coaching that I simply couldn’t do it with integrity. Somewhere, somehow, there was a piece of the jigsaw missing – something that would make sense out of the components.

Sadly, then, my fledgling business never made it beyond ‘fledgling’ state, and I had to seek out more traditional employment back in the world of IT to save myself from personal bankruptcy. In all of that, I lost much of what I had held dear – my home, many of my possessions and – for a time – much of my self worth.

Thotful Spot by the Nene (2)Yet this time the crisis forced me into a new search. I would walk for hours by the river, trying to understand life and looking for meaning. I began to look for the true answers, wherever they might be… and in particular I began to seek out some of the truths behind prosperity. I looked at programmes like ‘The Secret’ and ‘The Law of Attraction’ – and felt that each of these was missing something at its heart – as if it was incomplete and without the missing component that made it spark into life. I devoured books on attracting wealth, on creating a prosperous lifestyle, on cosmic ordering, the power of personal creation. I studied Reiki, EFT and energy healing. I went over to Texas to study with Dr Joe Vitale, author of ‘The Attractor Factor’, and to Cork to study with Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len, teacher of modern Hawai’ian ho’oponopono and co-author of ‘Zero Limits’. I flew to Big Island Hawai’i to study Huna with kahuna Serge Kahili King on the slopes of Mauna Kea, and took the bus to Oregon to study with Neale Donald Walsch, author of the ‘Conversations With God’ series.

San Juan Camping 4In a search for true happiness and fulfilment I looked into both modern day and ancient spiritual paths.. continually seeking answers from new and old speakers and teachers, authors and sages. Yet this time I had determined that I would make my own decisions about what was true for me.. rather than accepting someone else’s belief system, I would press on to discover something that had meaning and resonance for me personally – recognising that this might be a lonely and solitary path. I took 12 months out to travel the world, hoping that things would begin to fall into place. I found insight, meaning and revelation in a myriad of unexpected places: walking across an active volcano in Hawai’i, standing under a waterfall in Mexico, trekking across what passed for Mordor in New Zealand, sitting in the shadow of Mt Everest, sailing in Vietnam. I sat and listened in Buddhist temples in Cambodia and Thailand, calmed my heart studying martial arts in Hong Kong, found inspiration walking along the Great Wall of China and around Uluru in Australia. I discovered divinity in a thousand interactions with amazing people, saw heaven reflected in a crystal sea, saw hope in a billion unfamiliar stars spread out on a canvas of inky velvet blackness in the middle of loneliness, miles from any city.

And in all that I discovered that all of these studies, these explorations did lead me into a new place.. and in the pursuit of prosperity and wealth, of happiness and contentment, I had found myself a new understanding of the universe, of a spiritual path that enabled me to shine rather than bury me in guilt, that brought me into a new understanding of myself, of others – and echoed back to me something that I had always believed.. that human beings truly are awesome, amazing, incredible, wonderful – full of love, and hope, and promise, full of light and power.

And yet, knowing all of that, I found myself lost, scared and alone, unsure of whether I could communicate what I had begun to understand. I felt inadequate to explain what I felt I knew – unsure of my skills as a teacher and as a leader, unable to write what I truly felt. Every time I tried to find a way to create a programme around what I believed, it seemed to dissolve, as if into a mist. Often all I had to keep me going was a conviction that I had discovered something meaningful, and the support of those people who believed in me and in my gift.

Only now, more than twelve months after my return from my round the world pilgrimage, do I feel at all ready to begin to unpack what I’ve come to understand about the nature of reality, the nature of the universe, and the nature of humanity.

The Power of You

So that’s led me to now – to this programme called ‘The Power of You’. I have no idea where it will take me. I have some ideas as to what to create, ideas that will help me step forward and begin to share my thoughts with others. I know it’s going to be scary. I know it’s going to be draughty. I know that sometimes I am going to be simply walking by faith. But I hope that by sharing some of my convictions and insights, that others will be encouraged to understand just how amazing they are, and just what’s possible. I don’t have all the answers.. but I know that I have some. It feels right to me, now, to just start. To unpack some of the things I have learned, and to see where that leads. A lot of people are really going to love it. Some people are going to hate it. And that’s OK. I don’t need to convince anyone… I just need to share what’s on my heart and let it find the people it can help.

So. Workshops. e-books. Classes. Seminars. Products. Mentor programmes. It seems as if I have so many ideas I don’t know quite where to start… but right now feels like the right place to begin, and see where it all leads me. For me, it’s a very exciting time, and a very scary time… yet at least, for the first time for many, many years the way ahead seems clear.

And to all of you who have supported me through some of these painful times of deep introspection – friends, family, students, dancers, coaches – all those who have dared to believe in me and encouraged me to keep going – from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. You will probably never know how much your love and encouragement has meant to me. I’m back.

Special offer–Tim’s book for £1 (yup, really)

0 0
Read Time:4 Minute, 50 Second

Jumpstart Front v2Special offer! Maybe to celebrate the Royal Wedding. Maybe to celebrate my escape from Cambodia. Maybe just because.

Actually, this offer went out on the EuroCoach board this week, but since it’s such a good offer, I thought I would make the same offer to you guys. I’m looking to create even more prosperity in my life, and so I’m sowing a seed by giving away (or near enough) an electronic (PDF) copy of my book on how to start a coaching business – “Jump Start Your Coaching Business”. For £1. Really. £0.85 plus VAT. I wanted to offer it for free but my shopping card won’t let me! I want to give others the chance to be successful in their life.. and this felt like a good way to do that.

Now, hold on a second, you’re probably saying ‘but I don’t HAVE a coaching business, and neither do I want one’. OK, fair enough. But consider this . . .

a) this book is an extension of my other book, Jump Start Your Therapy Business. So if you have (or are thinking of having) a therapy business of any form, be it reiki, massage, hypnotherapy, NLP and so on… well, this is the book for you (the reason I wrote two books was because I couldn’t find a way of writing ‘coaches and therapists’ without the book getting clumsy. And because there’s a whole load of NLP secrets in the bigger book that I didn’t want the therapists finding out about. Oops.

b) I am probably going to produce a book which might get called ‘Jump Start Your Life’ based on the contents of this book. So you might get in on the secrets of that book really early.

c) there’s a whole load of NLP tips and tricks in there from NLP Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner and even, I seem to recall, Trainer level..

d) the books on Amazon for £20 at the moment!

So you might want to get a copy anyway.

You can find the offer HERE

Jumpstart Front v2Jumpstart Back v2

And if you want even more detail, well, here’s the offer that went to the guys at EuroCoach . . . .

Hi there.. You know, one of the questions I often get asked by newly trained coaches and NLP practitioners is “What do I do next?” Participants want to know how to use the incredible tools they learn to create their own business – perhaps as life coaches or corporate coaches, or to help people breakthrough the barriers as an NLP coach. People want to know everything from how to set up in business and how to operate their company through to how to market themselves, how to get clients and how much to charge. Often our coaching training covers the process of how to coach – and not how to create a business out of it.

“Jump Start Your Coaching Business” takes apart the mechanics of setting up in business as a coach or as an NLP practitioner. I cover

  • What beliefs you need to become incredibly successful

  • What you need to do to set up your business

  • How to make sure you keep improving

  • How to get clients easily

  • The power of networking

  • Keys to making effective pitches for business

  • How referrals can boost your client list

  • What equipment and facilities you will need

  • The power of your personal brand

  • What documents you need to run your business

I also explain:

  • The key mistakes coaches make when marketing themselves

  • Why offering ‘free coaching’ can be counter productive

  • How to communicate effectively to achieve your goals

  • How to keep yourself safe when working with people

If you’ve ever wondered just how easy it would be to set up in business as a coach, or if you’ve started creating your own business already, you should get hold of a copy of this book. It runs to nearly 240 pages as an A4 manual, and contains exercises, sample documents and letters.

To celebrate my return to training, coaching and personal leadership development, you can get hold of a special PDF copy of this guide to creating the business of your dreams at http://heartstorm.org/page9.htm, priced at… well, not very much at all. In fact, priced at £1. No misprints. No typing errors. £1.

Now, this used to sell for around £20-£40 and it’s on Amazon for that at the moment. But I wanted to sow a seed and help some others get ahead and become successful, as part of my own intention to create a new level of success in my life. In fact, I wanted to give it away free, but my cart won’t let me.

For a limited time, I am also offering a download of some of the key documents that you’ll need to get started – use them ‘as is’ or customise them to your own needs. I’ve included my coaching process, my enquiry documents and questionnaires along with NLP based tools and processes in this resource file that will have you up and running quickly with the essential documents that you need to get going. Now, most of this is actually in the manual, and if you want, you can copy them out from the manual and amend them yourselves. That’s up to you. Or, you could save yourself some time and get the download set. And one of the things you need to know right from the start is that time… is money. You can get that download for £14.95 for a limited time only.

The downloads are also available at http://heartstorm.org/page9.htm

So, what are you waiting for. Go get your copy now, before I start to see sense! Go to http://heartstorm.org/page9.htm

A blessing for the new year

0 0
Read Time:4 Minute, 19 Second

I guess it’s the time of year for musing and pondering – so now that the fog and haze of the New Year celebration has worn off, and the reality of that New year resolution is kicking in – let me add some thoughts to the mix.

Change is what life’s all about – while visiting the Great Ocean Road between Christmas and New Year, it was truly in evidence for me. The beauty of the Ocean Road is in the remarkable cliffs, the breath-taking seascapes, the stacks and arches and islands created by the energy of wind and water, the abrasion of sand and stone. And perhaps that’s a little bit of what life’s like – nothing truly beautiful is created without energy – without something that stirs up the elements into action. And nothing of beauty is really created without friction – those big events or little day to day matters that work away at our lives, getting rid of those parts of our lives that are not really serving us working away at changing us little by little.

Gibbson Steps (31)

But even these huge stacks and sea chimneys, the arches carved over time, are not immune to the effects of change. The amazing beauty of the Twelve Apostles is changed daily by the sea, the wind, the effects of that power causing the coast to recede at a rate of 2cm every year. The rock pinnacles carved into extraordinary shapes are not immune to the relentless pressure of the elements – eventually, each of them will collapse into the sea… one of the reasons why there are only 8 Apostles now (the other reason being that there never were 12 in the first place). The same effect caused one of the arches of the London Bridge formation to collapse.. in fact, the collapse of a sea arch is what creates the stack in the first place.. it is necessary for one thing of beauty to be transformed into another.

And yet the sea is still at work creating new works of art – there are more sea stacks and arches being created even now.

Instead of writing my goals for 2011, I wrote down what I wanted the year to be like – a series of feelings and emotions that I wanted to experience, characteristics that I wanted to find in my life this year. Sure, from these goals will emerge.

And I wish the same for each of you this year. So let this be my 2011 blessing on each of you.

May 2011 be full of the kind of joy that makes you glad to be alive, that sets your heart soaring and makes your soul dance. May you have adventures that you never dreamed of, that take you to places you never thought you’d go. May it be truly fun, so that you laugh, and clap and cheer just for the sheer exuberance of it all. May it be a year of growing.. where you learn things you never thought you would, where your life becomes richer and fuller because of the way that you develop through it. May it cause you to go deeper – to become more thoughtful, more in tune with the Universe, and more truly you than ever before – where you discover a new meaning to your life and to the world.

May this year be a year of miracles and magic for you – where you create the sort of luck that changes lives – including your own. May it be a time when your faith in yourself, in your God, in Love, or in the Universe becomes real and powerful. May it be a time of healing for soul, for mind, for body. May it bring you close to family, to friends, and to people you have never met before. May it be a year of blessing, as blessings come to you and as blessings pour from you to others, and as love flows in ways you have never experienced before.

May it be a time of romance – perhaps the rekindling of a romance that may have become stale, or a time for new romances that take your breath away.

May 2011 bring freedom – freedom in your finances, freedom in your lifestyle, and freedom to do the things that you love. May it be a time of true wealth, where success and prosperity and abundance become easy friends to you.

WizardAnd may it be a year when you step into your own truth – where your life’s purpose becomes real for you and you emerge from the shadows to claim your rightful place on the world’s stage, a place that you may never have dreamed you would take, a place of leadership, a place where the blessing of Love flows from you, a time of passion and of commitment – a time when you know you can be confident simply being yourself – that glorious, wonderful being that’s unique in the world and whose gifts the world longs to experience.

May 2011 be a year when you truly become you – and where your dreams, your hopes, your longings, your plans begin to come wonderfully, beautifully, magically, incredibly… true.

Merry Christmas, everybody . . . .

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 33 Second

So here it is, Merry Christmas, everybody’s having fun….

For me, there really is something spectacularly wonderful about Christmas. I’m the guy who deliberately goes out shopping on Christmas Eve because I love the atmosphere (it’s not so much fun in Melbourne – can’t quite get in te Christmas spirit when it’s bright and sunny)… who gets all sad when the Christmas adverts disappear as soon as the shops shut on Christmas Eve. I’m convinced Santa Claus is still alive and well and planning a comeback tour (that’s OK, but he needs to leave the elves behind). I love the sparkle, the lights, the cuteness of it all… and (in the UK at least) we manage to brighten up a dismal time of year with lights, and tinsel, and angels…

I don’t miss ‘Lonesome this Christmas’ playing on rotation in supermarkets – but I’ll be lining up The Pogues, Wizzard, Slade and all those fabulous Christmas hits (including, to my eternal shame, the ‘Girls Aloud Christmas Bonus CD’). Picnic time for Christmas dinner this year though.

Somehow, Christmas is one of those times when the barrier between our usual world and the magical world starts to grow thin – when, somehow, anything might be possible. When it just might be possible for one man to travel round the world in a night and bring hope and happiness around the world. Where it might just be possible to deliver presents down a chimney that’s been blocked for years. Where happiness is real, and love is guaranteed. And where ‘anything is possible’ here might be where love, finally, breaks through. Sure, sometimes Christmas can be a real tough time, putting a huge strain on relationships and bank balances.. And it can be a time when love finally wins through – when we actually try and be kind to each other. And who’s to say that’s not the reality, anyway? So let’s just reach out to one another.. Let’s be kind to each other.. Let’s enjoy each other’s company..

So to all my friends across the world – wherever you find yourselves, whatever you find yourselves doing – I am eternally grateful that you are part of my life in some way. The world is a richer, warmer and more wonderful place simply because you are in it. So, this Christmas, wave that magic wand. Make a difference. Share some love. Make a friend. Reach out to someone. Tell someone you love them. Call someone you haven’t seen for ages. Give someone a hug. Give lots of people hugs. Get good value out of the mistletoe. Forgive people. Love people.

And if that makes you feel good… carry on doing it. Create magic. Create miracles. Bring heaven to earth.

I may be a long way away from many of you (and probably sufficiently close to some others of you that you’re actually starting to get nervous) – but thankyou for who you are. Thankyou for what you’re doing. Thankyou for being part of this wonderful, glorious, beautiful world. And thankyou for being a part of mine.

It’s time for magic . . .

And watching ‘It’s a wonderful life’. On the big screen. Outdoors. Now, if I can just find that Nunnery copy of ‘Love Actually’
